  • E-FIR system launched in Odisha
  • Odisha police on Saturday launched its ambitious 'e-FIR' system under the Centre-sponsored Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) projectAll the 531 police stations in the state have been computerized to receive complaints through online.There is a link of 'citizen portal' on the home page of the website of Odisha police ( from where people can avail the services.
  • Odisha CM distributes digital ration cards under food Act

  •  Odisha is all set to launch the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 as chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday started distribution of digital ration cards to the beneficiaries. 

    From November 1, the food Act would be implemented in 14 districts of the state covering around 93 lakh beneficiaries. Altogether, around 3.26 crore people of the state would be covered under the central Act, official sources said.So far, only 11 states and union territories including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi and Chandigarh have implemented the food Act.
